Taylor Ellis Nature’s Breath She sits by the window, looking out upon the vast pasture. Her hair is pulled back, the youthful color fading from her roots. Her skin is pale and paper thin. Her eyes, once joyous and bright, now dull and empty. Her clothes are old and tattered. The house she lives in is small and lackluster. Dust creeps in every corner, despite how often she cleans.
