Ghost Stories

Some people found solace in gardens and libraries. Margo found hers in cemeteries. Most teenagers snuck out at night to go to parties and took memorable vacations with their families. But Margo preferred her time separate from the antics of her peers. Instead she spent her summers weaving through the headstones, veering off the paved pathways to explore the engraved names and death dates. She watched visitors bring flowers and flags, decorating the graves of their relatives. Margo kept her routine when summer moved into fall. The temperature was bearable, the cool wind not enough to dissuade her from traversing
